About The Jaffa Institute in Tel Aviv-Yafo
The Jaffa Institute in Tel Aviv-Yafo works with children, youth, families and the elderly
from disadvantaged populations, giving them tools and opportunities to grow, learn
and succeed.
The gala evening brings together approximately 1,000 participants from all walks of
life – donors, business owners, company representatives and individuals – all sharing
one goal: to do good for others and build a better future for all.
Resilience on the Road
Educational and Emotional Field Response in Emergency Situation
With the outbreak of the "Iron Swords" war, the association operated mobile labs in
evacuee communities across the country. The labs came to hotels and schools where
families from the Gaza Strip and the confrontation line were staying, and provided
educational activities with scientific value, experiential workshops, and peak days for
children, youth, and adults.
As residents began returning to their homes, the association continued to operate
the "Resilience on the Road" project, in which therapists come to the client's home to
hold group meetings in order to strengthen personal and community resilience once a
week. The meetings allow for open dialogue, dealing with shared emotional challenges,
building a sense of belonging, and tools for emotional management.
Today, the program operates in both the north and south of the country: from Kibbutz
Menhara in the north, to Ruhama and Re’eim in the south – in accordance with the
urgent needs that have emerged from the field and the requests of the communities.
